Hope he never gets a Prem gig ever again...

You do know Bilic was a very good central defender don't you?

and after this very good central defender had reviewed the games from last season his conclusion was we had a problem in defence and that was ALL our centre backs were right sided ones.

Still what does Bilic know huh?

I see the same old people are chuffed to bits already with are summer signings. Same people who wanted Allardyce to stay.

Payet is not a risk

Fellas gonna be a star.

I agree road. It's a mammoth job to turn around a squad that have won only 2 of their last 20 odd league games.

Let's hope the Manager can do it.

Around 3 games? Have these 3 games been on TV for you to see? Did you go?

Re: Anyone else unimpressed by this transfer window ?
OM he was a risk from the minute we signed him. He has played around 3 games I think and not impressed. I have not written him off but I am concerned on the evidence so far, lets hope I am wrong.

Could be the niggling pessimism that goes with supporting our club but I am worried about this season.
We could have a shakey start and not recover and though Billic does need time, we may not have that luxury.

I wonder if the same people calling Ogbonna a risk after 1 game are the same people that slagged off Reid a few years back.

Give players a chance for fuck sake. It takes time and some settle quicker than others.

Re: Anyone else unimpressed by this transfer window ?
sellling downing who after cresswell and sakho was our third best player and replacing him with an exciting yet unproven pl player in payet is risky. i think at best our squad is about as good as last seasons and definitely not better.

no doubt we'll beef up our squad with a couple of unproven loans before the season starts but i fear for us this season i really do

Not really as you are talking shit, exagerating and generalising as usual Johnson.

No...So far better than most seasons,,,better than most of our direct competitors ...except Palace..

But with Hernandez...Croatian Barcelona kid...Jelavic...would be one of our best transfer windows...

Re: Anyone else unimpressed by this transfer window ?
It's quite simple Rylan.

Anytime (ANYTIME) anyone dared criticise BFS you started harping on about this bigger picture. You did this for about 4 years even though there clearly wasn't a bigger picture.

For Bilic you seem to not want to give him that grace, hence it must have been your support for BFS rather than WHUFC that caused you to take that stance.

Do you get it?

Re: Anyone else unimpressed by this transfer window ?
I won't write off ogbonna yet. he deserves at least a dozen games to get used to the system and new surroundings. I wasn't sure we needed him to be honest, but I think we should get behind him as he's clearly a unit, has speed and is dangerous at set pieces

Re: Anyone else unimpressed by this transfer window ?
The fact is that we desperately need a quality, proven goal scorer, preferably with PL experience. If we go out and buy a striker ready to go at the right age in the £10-15m bracket, then I'll start taking the owners' ambitions seriously. If we loan some 19 year old nobody has honestly really heard of or som 29+ mercenary then it's the same old bullshit.

What the fuck are you on about now Johnson?

FC, would you have him in the team instead of Tomkins or Reid this weekend? Not writing him off just yet but my first impressions of him were not good.

Re: Anyone else unimpressed by this transfer window ?
People say spending 20 million is peanuts but aside from the big 5 who are on a different planet to everyone else (Chelsea, Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal & Liverpool) we are not behind anyone else for spending.

Song will almost certainly sign and if we can get in a winger and another striker I would say we have all positions covered.

I reckon by the last day of August we will have spent around 30 million on players. Take a look at the other teams for comparison.

Downing, Cole, Demel, jussi have gone out
Jenkinson & Probably Song have stayed.

Payet, Obiang, Ogbanna, Lanzini & Randolph have arrived while youngsters like Oxford, Burke, Poyet, Samuelson & Hendrie should be on the fringes this season looking to impress.

Not only that but Sakho has returned from injury and Zarate has returned to the club with a point to prove.

We are definitely stronger than last season with Payet looking like the most skilful player we have had since Di Canio.

The season hasn't started yet and you're writing him off already?
